This is one of the most representative recordings by drummer Rashied Ali's (1935-2009) repertoire in the 1980s. Recorded with his then active quartet, the energetic sounds of this document interpret compositions by Ali himself as well as some of his many former bandmates, John Coltrane and Jaco Pastorius among others. Recorded in Roanne, France in March 1989.
